The problem would be the cost to develop it and the time. Even if it worked the drive wouldnt be able to read physical discs so then they would have to make those game available digitally.
So possible…but not practical. Thank you for the reconsideration and for listening to us! I do wish you could keep this up by always listening to our feedbacks and continue to never let us down!
Although it is still inevitable for the PS store to eventually shut down in the distant future, I still agree with the community that we should have all old games carried over to the newer consoles.
Games are timeless and should never dissappear! Finally this Jim does anything, he has been a zero as president, only sad news on my dear Sony :. Yeah, fast im going to agree with you in that, abandoning Japense games and JPN studio is awful. Oh The real ghost. Chomza85 April 19, at pm PDT. Bye… not thank you. We won, Mr. Just make a Legend of Dragoon Remake already. Because they make great games that fit the Japanese taste and the globe. There are ways to recompile games to make them compatible without using an emulator. An emulator can also be used, there are some on PC that do work. Look why you said the psp is closing on july 2 and we have to keep purushing.
Totally agree. Cormasco April 19, at am PDT. Well said. Is that still planned to get closed? They only have access to their content and it would open the store up for more Indy publishers. Just something to think about. Exactly what I have on my mind. Domino April 19, at am PDT. Could not agree more. Would be awesome.
Devenish April 19, at am PDT. Agree with this so much. Yes agreed. Spacerac April 20, at am PDT. This would win the gen for Sony. IK, it would make me think and my fellow xbox friends win over PS because of that. Why would you buy a new console to play old games? Just buy an old console! Thank you so much! Steelycoast April 19, at am PDT. JIM you finally listen to the community so thank you for listening. D April 19, at am PDT. Thanks for listening! This is the right choice for all!

I like the fact that you can find video from anywhere on the hard drive instead of being restricted to only picked folders. I'm running windows 7 64bit no problems at all. I've been using it since it first came out. Installed it on my Windows 7 laptop and stream movies wirelessly from the laptop to the router which is hard wired to the PS The one on AfterDawn.
The link from Google worked for me. When run PS3 Media Server v1. This software worked perfect from the start on Vista Does an excellent job streaming content to PS3. No problem running this software on Vista and streaming DivX movies via my wireless-G network to our ps3 upstairs.
Very convenient for watching a mkv file on your ps3 quickly. Little harder to configure than other severs but it is deffinitly worth checking out. Recent headlines Tech year wrapped up: Awful battery life, QR code comeback, global chip shortage,.. PS3 Media Server v1. Still a shame no native mkv support with PS3 but I can live with that as long as mkv2vob keeps working.
Axum Distinguished Member. Have you tried exactly the same material through both then? It doesn't seem like the software should affect "judderiness or stuttering" on mkv2vob-converted mkv's, surely that's purely down to available bandwidth, unless WMP12 is somehow more optimized To be honest material was not the issue, any MKV could randomly "judder" one moment and be fine the next.
We have had a PS3 firmware update since then also. Bandwidth has never been an issue for my MKVs, the "judder" seemed to be purely random and related to the PS3 playback of h. Still I have played quite a lot of mkvs via WMP12 and they have all played fine with no problems and no judder at all.
I read lots of horror stories about Windows 7 and WMP12 not streaming but thankfully its working like a dream for me. My only initial prob was with F-secure technology preview Beta to you and me i switched the firewall profile from home to normal and everything popped in to place. WM12 sharing seem to be a bit flakey. V happy when the DTS light came on, on my amp. Stream your media to devices and computers using Windows Media Player WMP There have been many posts on this topic, most are very informative, others are somewhat incomplete or too brief.
I'm posting this with an attempt to be more precise and complete. Open Windows Media Player. Click Stream, and then click Turn on home media streaming.
Turn on home media streaming won't be available on the Stream menu if streaming is already turned on. On the Media streaming options page, click Turn on media to perform this a streaming. Nice, i'll link to that post in the Media Guide sticky.
