Global network printer install script

Running as. That worked like a charm. You are awesome. I could I edit the value. What info can you not locate? Also, I believe these scripts will only work with signed drivers. This script works great on my own computer except when trying to run this on another computer it only seems to add the port but not the printer, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! The more you tell us the more we can help. Can you help us improve? Resolved my issue. Clear instructions. Easy to follow.

No jargon. Pictures helped. Didn't match my screen. Incorrect instructions. Too technical. Not enough information. Thanks for your feedback. Will this work universally for other employees though if i were to share it or is the printer server ip address only going to work for myself? I probably entered something in wrong because I removed the device from my printers to see if it would install itself but it didn't.

Thanks again. Hello everyone, At my last job I was privy to a script that allowed a user to click it which installed the network printer we were all using.

Creating your account only takes a few minutes. Login Join. In our school district we have a need for printers to be installed by IP address. Certain end users would cease to function if they were unable to printe because a server was rebooting or what have you. First I was looking for a way to install printers by IP faster than the normal "add a printer", "add a local printer", "create a new port" and that whole time-consuming process.

There are several ways to do this, I chose to use Windows already installed printer commands and wrote scripts for each of the printers I was trying to install. What are the 3 scripts you retrieve and copy into the local scripts folder? Are they modified templates? Or, can I get some help in writing my own?
